Yoga

Yoga is a sacred and ancient eight limbed path, and it is an honor to share this practice with others. My path to yoga began with dance— I love dancing, but spending hours in front of the mirror every day sharpened my inner critic. I arrived at yoga feeling disconnected from my body, like it was a thing to control rather than a part of my Self, but as I learned the asanas and dove into the philosophical elements, I began to heal. There’s room for tenderness AND discipline, joy and sorrow, light and darkness in each of us. Being tossed from one challenge to another is part of life, and yoga is an amazing tool for breaking through discomfort and cultivating balance in good times and bad alike. Plus, nothing compares to the light and happy feeling of finishing a satisfying yoga class!

Informed by over a decade of dance and theatrical training, my dynamic yoga flows invite students to gently explore their bodies through movement. I earned my RYT200 hour certification at Yogaleena School in 2020 and taught vinyasa yoga at Yogaleena Studio throughout 2021. As a lifelong student, I continue to expand my knowledge through workshops, classes, and regular interdisciplinary practice.  In my classes, expect to leave it all on the mat and walk away with something new.

Currently, I teach Frame Flow at Frame Dance on Tuesdays at 7pm. See you on the mat!
